You Might Make Others Wanna Gag, But At Least The Two Of You Will Be Closer.

I was never the girl who pictured donning the perfect wedding dress and living happily ever after with some awesome guy. I was, instead, the girl who pictured donning the perfect stilettos and living single-ever-after with my awesome self.

But these days, I’ve found myself somewhere in the middle – I did don the perfect stilettos {and still do!}, but I donned them with the perfect wedding dress. And while I haven’t let go of my awesome self and am, in fact, living happily ever after, I happen to be sharing that with an awesome guy, too.

And now…I think we just might be one of {those} couples.

You know the ones. They’re super in love, dorkily happy together, bound to random acts of P.D.A., finish each other’s sentences, and are even caught in coordinating outfits every now and then…

Try not to hate me…or gag. :/

Thing is, as barf-inducing as it might be, it really blesses my life to be hanging out with someone who not only doesn’t judge my dorkiness, but is willing to join me in it every now and then. And just in case you wanna be one of those annoying couples, too, here are some ways to get the corny rolling.

1. Grab a camera, act like you’re good photographers, and go be tourists in your own city.

———

2. Go for a walk. Preferably a long one. :)

———

3. The good old standy – a picnic in the park.

———

4. A little breakfast and Wii in bed, anyone?

———

5. Take in a sunset somewhere neither of you has ever seen one before.

———

6. Grab some crayons, forget you’re adults, and color together. Yes, really.

———

7. Speaking of forgetting you’re grown ups, spend an afternoon riding bikes around your neighborhood together.

———

8. Take turns finding – and trying – restaurants famous for each other’s favorite food.

———

9. Of course, the beach will never get old!

10. Spend the night on the couch staring into each other’s eyes and drawing hearts on the bottom of each other’s feet.

;)

Hehe. I’m totally kidding. Even I would gag at that one.

NCIS Romances Brewing

You already know that NCIS is one of my favorite shows on television right now. If you watch the show you know most everybody is itching to see two of the lead actors, Cote de Pablo (Ziva), and Michael Weatherly (Tony), become a couple. It appears at least in last week’s episode that they shared a bed. Whether or not they were engaging in any hanky-panky remains to be seen.

It turns out we just might see it. Romance is brewing on the number one show on TV not just between Tony and Ziva, but perhaps Abby and McGee will also be reacquainted, so to speak. So, Tiva, Abby and McGee, what about Gibbs. Could the lawyer who has it in for NCIS and Gibbs actually be interested in Gibbs? From what Shane Brennan tells Entertainment Weekly, anything is possible.

What about Ducky?

Thank You Chris Ferrell

You are probably familiar with the Battlestar Galactica post from January 2nd. It was written by Chris Ferrell one of the authors of Nerds of the Round Table. I wanted to start a series on my blog that would have stamina. So often people get ideas and they may last for a couple of months then fade out. This series of guest bloggers will appear on the first Saturday of every month. So far four bloggers have either volunteered or agreed to be guest bloggers when I asked them.

That leaves eight months left to fill. Feel free to come forward. I would love to hear from you. I read recently that guest blogging should be a win-win-win decision. The guest blogger wins because he gets to share his thoughts with a new audience. They usually put together perhaps a post that rivals their best post on their site and that creates a winning situation for the host blog. The host blogger gets to share a new voice with their regular readers giving a new flavor to their reading palate. Lastly the readers of both blogs win because their regular experience on each separate blog is made new and fresh again.

In addition the comments left help give each site links that through Google’s system should help increase our page ranking in search results and therefore increase traffic to both of our sites.

I am humbled that Mr. Ferrell agreed to guest blog for me and I have already thanked him but I want to thank him again publicly. Thank you Chris. I feel it was a complete success for both of us. I know you enjoyed writing the post because the subject is close to your heart. Indeed, Battlestar Galactica was one of the best shows in television history.
