  • The 2010 Chilean earthquake moved the city of Concepcion 10 feet to the west according to GPS. What is even more impressive is that the quake was so strong that it shifted the Earth’s axis and shortened our day by 1.26 millionths of a second.

  • You should never buy farm raised salmon. It is low in Omega-3 fatty acids, (if any) and the flesh of the salmon is white until fed pink dyed food pellets. Wild caught salmon is rich in Omega-3′s because of it’s rich diet of shrimp like krill. Over a period of eating the krill in the ocean the salmon naturally turn pink and full of benefits to the heart from the HDL cholesterol. Only buy wild caught salmon.

  • Hershey’s Chocolate Co. makes 80 million Hershey’s Kisses every single day.
  • It was an onslaught of hate mail against NASA that got the first space shuttle named Enterprise. NASA was planning on naming the shuttle, Constitution. The hundreds of thousands of letters from loyal Star Trek fans in 1976 prompted NASA to change its mind.

I’d leave you a piece of me, darling, but I need all the bits I’ve got left.

Well, I think useless facts are understated. I had absolutely no idea of fact 1 and I just don’t comprehend how they could work when they live on beer. How the HECK did they work?!
As for Science fact 2 – I had NO idea. They didn’t shout that out in the media enough. That’s freaking fascinating.
Fact 3 health – that is a very valuable thing to know: thank you.
And the other facts – so NASA can be swayed by nerds? That’s REALLY interesting.

    Thanks for all that! :)

You are welcome. I need to add some more but my Roll Film page is what requires the most work. More than likely they were paid after work, they let the beer get cold in the chill of the desert and sometime after dinner they were able to drink. I found it fascinating too because I went by The Ten Commandments and didn’t think slaves were compensated at all. Oh, I didn’t send anything to NASA (wasn’t born yet) but I am one of those nerdy Star Trek fans you spoke so highly of!

Ms. Peaches, I have lots of useful and not so useful information! If you’re gonna spend tons of money on salmon, it should be healthy for you. The food industry pisses me off to no end.
