iPod Playlist

I’m a music lover as you may know and I was flipping through my iPod last night. I was wondering what music I would have to have with me if I were stranded on a deserted island (with a never ending supply of batteries, of course). The ten albums I would have to have:

  1. prince_purplerainPurple Rain – Prince
  2. Thriller – Michael Jackson
  3. The Joshua Tree – U2
  4. Control – Janet Jackson
  5. That’s The Way Of The World – Earth, Wind & Fire
  6. Dangerously In Love – Beyoncé
  7. Out Of Time – R.E.M.
  8. Bolero – Ravel
  9. The Dream Of The Blue Turtles – Sting
  10. Night Rhythms – Lee Ritenour

Though not stranded on an island, what are the first ten songs on your iPod right now OR what are the last ten songs you’ve listened to today? Please share.

Hey there, You’ve done an excellent job. I’ll definitely digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I’m confident they’ll be benefited from this website.

Nice choices, Tom! I see we have similar music tastes! Awesome. :)

    10 songs I’ve listened to…Let me remember.

    1. Michael Jackson- Liberian Girl
    2. Aarahdra- Betcha by golly wow
    3. Alicia Keys- Dreamin’
    4. Keke Wyatt- Who knew
    5. Sade- Soldier of love
    6. Ayah- In my lifetime
    7. Stevie Wonder- Sign, sealed and delivered
    8. Paramore- Decode
    9. John Mayer- Gravity
    10. Justin Nozuka- After tonight

As for if I was being stuck on an island and I had to choose ten albums, it would be compilations from different artists especially from the 80’s region. Definitely majority of the artists I just named above, 80’s-90’s R&B and some recent artists like Shadina and FDM (whom I’ve posted a few blogs about) Bob Marley, Adele.. Anything that tickles my ear drums. So indecisive! Lol. Maybe top 50 albums would be better, haha. Hope all is well with you.

    Hey Tom! :)

Shame on myself for not posting on music. I just got out of my period of ‘music withdrawal’; my choir just broke apart and listening to anything close to choral music had me bawling like a baby for a while. :(

Anyway, here’s my top ten for today:

    1. Falling Slowly – The Frames
    2. Gravity – Sara Bareilles
    3. Slow Dancing in a Burning Room – John Mayer
    4. As Things Collide – Maroon 5
    5. Konstantine – Something Corporate
    6. Dark Blue – Jack’s Mannequin
    7. Modern Nature – Sondre Lerche
    8. Sanctuary – Utada Hikaru
    9. I Hope You Dance – Ronan Keating
    10. Iris – Googoo Dolls

If Nobou Eumatsu’s piano pieces are included, they’d displace the top half. :P

I purposely left Stevie Wonder off the list or else there wouldn’t have been anyone else on my list. Fulfillingness is one of his best.

I use my iPod when I run for the most part. The first ten songs September by Earth, Wind & Fire, Fire & Desire by Rick James and Teena Marie, Rapper’s Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang, I Need You Tonight by INXS, The Way You Make Me Feel by Michael Jackson, Unbreakable by Alicia Keys, Is This Love by Bob Marley, Run It by Chris Brown, Unpredictable by Jamie Foxx, and Falling For You by Colbie Caillat. Love your blog by the way.

Hello! I checked out your blog since you were kind and checked out mine, and what do I see? Music! Love, love, love music. Now, I don’t actually own an Ipod, but I wanna play anyway. :D
Here’s my list of music(songs) I want to have with me on a deserted island, which also works for me anyday of the week:

    1. “The Weary Kind” by Ryan Bingham (slow singer songwriter-type stuff. Best song of 2009 in my opinion)
    2. “Bird Guhl” by Antony and the Johnsons
    3. “Sweet Thing” by Van Morrison (or the entire Astral Weeks-album. It’s great!)
    4. “Trip through your wires” by U2 (or like you, Tom, have the entire Joshua Tree-album. It’s just one of the best albums in the world.)
    5. “Who’s gonna save my soul” by Gnarls Barkley (yes, one might wonder that on a deserted island)
    6. “Doggin’ Around” by Jackie Wilson (when I need to hear some really good vocals)
    7. “I want a little sugar in my bowl” by Nina Simone (for when I feel sorry for myself)
    8. “O mio babbino caro” by Montserrat Caballé (for those perfect mornings)
    9. “You could be mine” by Guns’n’Roses (too feed my terminator-crave)
    10. “Sing Sing Sing” by Benny Goodman (for a one-person party)

Songs I don’t wanna be without. Loved the post and so cool that you invited others to play. A good place for people to find new(and old) music to love. Thank you, and take care. :)

    Hey Tom! :)

I missed you too! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! It’s better late than never, i think. Haha. Anyway, I wasn’t able to blog for quite a while because my grandpa is in the hospital and I have to take care of him. But I promise to update my blog soon! I’m still thinking about what my next posts would be about since my blog is finally a free blog because I finally passed the course requirement. :) But I will post nice posts soon! Hopefully my grandpa will be okay. Please pray for him. :) Thank you Tom and I really appreciate your posts. Thank you! :)

I’m not really the praying kind but because you asked I will definitely do that for you. I am very happy that you are back and will start posting again. Take care of your Grandpa and yourself too. I hope all will be well. Congratulations on passing the course.
