The Naked Man

malebody

“I love the male body. It’s better designed than the male mind.”
~ Andrea Newman

I’m a man. I am a man who loves the female body. I really love the female body, however, most women I’ve spoken with do not find the male body attractive at all and speak even less fondly of our genitalia.

On the reverse side, I read through an article in an United Kingdom online newspaper, GuardianFilament, a magazine for women wanted to feature full frontal nudity from their male models. The companies they use to print the magazine refused to print for fear of backlash from woman and religious groups.

Regardless of what is going on in the publishing community, if you are a female please weigh in on the subject and leave a comment on how you feel (without being too graphic). Men with an opinion are free to comment too, but I’m really interested in how a woman feels about the nude male body. Exquisite or ugly? Graceful or freaky?

Personally I like my own body. I don’t obsess over it, but I am satisfied with my physique. By the way, that’s not a photo of me. According to the wording in my contract with WordPress; I’m too sexy for my blog!

So ladies, tell us men what you think…

I just found this blog and it looks lovely! I had to weigh on this issue since I feel very strongly about it, even though this was originally posted in March, 2010, which is a long time ago :)

I am a female author of vey graphic erotic gay romance. I LOVE to look at images of the male body. I really feel that I have a gay man’s appreciation of the physical male, but I am a married, straight female.

The male body is just as stunningly beautiful as the female body. I think that most women have simply not been exposed to very many erotic photographs of the male body, which is a damn shame. Even in the movie, Magic Mike, that came out recently, there was not one full frontal nude shot during the entire movie. I was rather disappointed.

There is a photographer in Montana who takes stunning nude photos of men. His name is Terry Cyr and his website is here: http://naked-man-project.com/joomla/en/

He is gay, but not all of his models are. My favourite of his models is straight and has two children.

with your website. It looks like some of the written text in your content
are running off the screen. Can somebody else please
comment and let me know if this is happening to them as
well? This could be a issue with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen previously. Cheers

I haven’t seen many naked men or should I say boys but in gym class I really like watching the skins vs. the shirts. Rippled abs are very sexy so I imagine all the other parts will be too!

    • #9 by Tom Baker on December 10, 2010 - 4:51 PM

Since you’re still in high school I’m very happy you haven’t seen many but would prefer you not seeing any naked men! Just saying…

LOL! Ok mom. I’m just saying I’m normal and I’m already 18. I was sick for a while and I’m playing catch up in school. Don’t worry!

The male body is very beautiful, but in a different way than a woman’s (in my opinion). I find that I can find a man’s body attractive despite some “imperfections” (that everyone has), where as a lot of people believe a woman’s body is only beautiful if it is one particular shape/size. Maybe that’s just my opinion. But anyways, I find that as a woman I’m not obsessed with a man’s genitalia – it’s at least not the first thing I look to where a man may first look at a woman’s breasts for example. I usually notice his body shape, structure, muscle tone, frame size, arms etc. I find that those parts of the body are the things that I will look for to judge “attractiveness”, if I like what I see then I’ll take a gander to the down below lol. I think some people find the female body more attractive because it’s not always so startling perhaps, maybe because it’s the one that’s always shown in movies rather than the man’s.

There is a quote that I love and I only remember it in certain situations – and this is one of them. ” Man made the clothes, but God made the man.” I try hard not to judge a person by the way they look because for the most part, they have nothing to do with it. It’s the inside that matters. Having said that, I find the female body exquisite and like you, all the imperfections too. The one thing I hate on a man or woman is a tattoo. Just personal preference. And FYI, I look at a woman’s eyes but lips first! You know me and kissing.

      Thanks for the comment!

Just as a little note, female breasts are not genitalia. The female genitalia is the vagina, and its depict even less than penises in the media. The taboo around depicting female reproductive organs is way stronger.

After reading this post, I just have to comment. I personally find the male form very attractive and beautiful. But even with the sexual revolution, women are still stuck in the past. We’ve had so many inhibitions ingrained in us that it can be hard to admit. However, I am at a place in my life where I can say that there is nothing ugly about the body male or female, fat or skinny, whatever color and I enjoy looking at it. In fact, from my experience women are more likely to find the body attractive than men simply because it’s okay for a woman to appreciate beauty. Women are just more unlikely to admit it because it’s not “ladylike.”

I’ll end this comment with something my mother once said to me. I don’t know where she heard it, although I am fairly certain she didn’t make it up. “Two percent of woman say they give blow jobs. The other 98% are liars.”

That is some quote! Thank you for your comment. I see that you think like myself on this. People are beautiful or ugly based on their behavior and not the way they look. All colors and shapes.

Kimberley, I’m surprised you didn’t see the comment left by Teresa right under yours. I like my husband’s body very much – every inch and I wouldn’t mind some male eye candy here. The two images here are tastefully done. Victoria Secret is just as revealing.

Tom, I LOVE your site. I’ve read a great about ten of your posts today and absolutely adore this site! I do have one complaint though. Being a guy of course you like women, but you have a lot of female readers. I’ve seen their comments. You have wallpaper with nearly naked women in it, you have your stories from your teen years that cater to men and I could go on. How about a few more half naked men. I know I would like to see them. Nothing XXX rated, but I for one love a mans body. Any ladies feel the same way? Tom, listen up.

Kimberley, thanks for leaving a comment. You are not the first female to make a statement like that, but really if you want photos of men, there is always Google Search.

I have to weigh in on this. First, I love your site. The variety of subjects keeps me coming back and since I love my husband’s body, I had to leave you a comment. I’m surprised more women haven’t chimed in on this subject.

From a man’s perspective I can see why you might not think us women can be as attractive to a man as men get toward women. Women are more curvy and have more to look at. I myself am not just in love with my husband but also with his body. He’s put on some weight since we first got married but so have I.

From head to toe I love his body and even his not so six pack. I love his tushy and his seven, curved to the left inches. We sleep naked and I love to spoon with him.

I am most definitely attracted to the male body and I love going to the beach. Bikini yes, thongs no! Nice post.

    Hey Tom!

I have read that women love well-developed abdominal obliques. They say that they find it sexy–a muscle going diagonally downward to the crotch. Actually, that’s what I’m trying to develop–spending an hour and a half in a gym, six days a week.

But after reading that most women don’t appreciate the male body, I feel like my efforts of working out seem pointless. I’m actually waiting for more females to comment to see what their stand on this issue is.

    Cheers!

Well, I like my man naked, and I have mentioned before that when he’s around we both lounge around pretty much….nekked…

When I see magazines with half naked men, I’m not sure if I’m really attracted to them. I guess if it comes down to it, the stuff that turns me on the most about guys, are their hands and their eyes. Everything else is secondary (strictly physical…personality comes before everything else for me, but we’re not talking about there…)

But generally speaking, as I grow older, I see bodies as a work of art, not something gross like I used to think. I mean, we ARE physical beings. We can’t all be fit, and I’m the kind of person who embraces what I have and accept others for who they are – and they are beautiful in every way.

Well…..OK. I DO find them attractive, but that’s not where my eyes initially wanders off to.

Oh and might I add that not only do I look for strong hands and eyes, but their jawline too. Rwar.
