Firefox Add-Ons Series: Web Browsing And Blogging

Web Browsing And Blogging

Today we will look at the Firefox Add-ons that enhance your blogging experience and make browsing the Internet easier and more convenient. I’ve decided to allow the add-on’s own description to let you know what is available. I believe they can say what their add-on does much better than I.

Wherever you go on the web, the SimilarWeb sidebar will help you discover related sites. It enhances your browser making it easier, faster and more productive to surf the web. Once Installed, the sidebar appears on the side of your screen and shows you small pictures of sites that are similar to the site you are currently viewing. Share your favorite sites across our community. We take all user ratings and suggestions into consideration. SimilarWeb is a great research tool which can help you find competitors, free alternatives, popular sites in your interests, and much more.

The Firefox extension WordPress Helper helps you working with WordPress by providing useful help and tools. The extension eases the fast and simple access to develop-relevant pages of the WordPress Codex. So you always have all the necessary help at your fingertips. It’s also possible to search after strings of text that is currently marked. Furthermore it’s possible to easily switch to WordPress backend of current site. More than that, a small Icon indicates whether the currently displayed website makes use of WordPress.

GrazeIt Snippet

GRAZEit lets you see related posts, tweets, news, videos and other content relevant to the page you’re current visiting, while you surf. You’ll find stuff you didn’t know you were looking for, right there in your browser. Grazers, like yourself, share related links where they matter most – on any page, of any website. Once you download the add-on – the GRAZEit snippet will be your new companion on your Firefox. It will show you related grazes (related pages) on any page you’re visiting.
