I’m just impressed every time I look at these photos. I just reminded myself of what I said about these and I stand by them. It is art and art of a very pre-visualised kind of way.

    These are equally impressive.

Very lovely! I think my favourites are Smile or the second from the last. Thanks for sharing! :)

I like Smile a lot too but I think my favorite is in Russian so I don’t know exactly what the title is. It is the third from the bottom. Then again that snowflake is pretty awesome.

Yeah that one’s great too – reminds me of Lord of the Rings!

I hope to one day feature a certain deviantartist I know here!

My biggest question: How does a photographer just imagine a scene, or go out in the world, see a view and think “this would be so beautiful if captured”? I mean how can they have the eye to find moments like these, eh? AND THAT!.. is what makes photography an art.

    • #11 by southwindtrails on January 24, 2011 - 7:21 PM

This is a question that I’m sure every photographer would have a different answer to because as you said it is art, so everyone has a unique approach. I don’t kow how other photographers do it, just my own methods. I find that I just know when I look at somthing. It’s not somthing that I think about, I can just see how the vewfinder would frame it in my mind. That being said, they don’t always turn out. Out of hundreds of shots you will only get a handful that people will ever see. So photographers get to pick and choose from dozens of similar shots to get the right one. Hope this answers your question.

Well said Seth. It is indeed art!

Yeah, I just love how a camera can steal a moment of time.
