30 Days Of Blogging Honesty: Thoughts On

It was a lot of work. It was very hectic but most of all it was fun. To sum my thoughts up in a single word on the 30 Days of Blogging Honesty; impressive.

  • I was impressed with the way everyone interacted with one another the most. I noticed that comments and replies to posts were not just from blogger to blogger but also crossed over into other blogs and the same conversation continued to another blogger’s post.
  • I was impressed that everyone respected other viewpoints on subjects they might not agree with.
  • I was also impressed to see people not involved in the challenge leaving comments and traveling to different blogs and leaving comments for the first time.
  • I was impressed with the feeling of community and comradery. It wasn’t just one person leaving comment after comment. People took the time to read other comments and replied to them as well.

My question to everyone who took part is two-fold. First, how did you feel about the challenge and do you feel you will continue visiting some of the blogs that were new to you at first? Secondly, there are different levels of honesty. Would you say that you were completely honest in most of your responses or were you just honest?

I’d like to thank everyone who took part in the challenge this year. There is a meme taking place in July if you would like to be a part of that and another one in December. And yes, we will have another Honesty challenge this coming February. Woo-hoo!

Let’s try to get some more men to participate, if only for my sake. But don’t think for one moment that I don’t love being surrounded by twenty plus woman and being the only male. Thank you Sajeev for joining the pack. I have also thanked you on the Handshakes, Hugs & Kisses page but again, thank you everyone who took this month-long journey and a special thank you to Cherlyn for coming up with most of the questions.

That’s all I got.

I enjoyed it even though the end I was stressed about it because I wanted to finish on time. I am glad Sweets asked me to paticipate. :)
Due to the nature of my blog I am not sure if I will continue to visit other blogs. Maybe the ones that commented and I feel I won’t offend them with my words and story. My blog can be hard to swallow and digest.
As for being honest I can say proudly that I was and I enjoyed that I did.

    Thanks for letting me participate.

I enjoyed your participation. It was suggested that I limit the number of people to make commenting easy and visiting other blogs but if only the same people take part, it would defeat the purpose of meeting new people. Hope I keep seeing you around here and I will be sure to visit your blog.

You will. I am so behind but you will see. :)
Thank you for visiting me. :)

It was a wonderful experience. And I definitely look forward to more such explorations. I am sure i will be in touch with all the new friends i have made here through yours and Cheryln’s initiative. And as far as honesty is concerned, i tried my best to be as honest as possible. it challenged me actually..

I think this was a great idea and everyone conducted themselves great. I wish I had done it.

Going to tell my journey and your question about the challenge … in a post!

      • #11 by Tom Baker on May 16, 2012 - 6:57 AM

I am looking forward to reading it and don’t forget, I am still trying to think of a question for you.

  5. #13 by Cherlyn on May 14, 2012 - 8:59 AM

To answer your questions – I felt all right about the challenge for the first half, but I have to admit it was a bit draining and tiring after the second half. There are some great blogs out there, and I’d like to keep reading their posts, but as far as actually doing it is hard to say. With school, I barely have time to update my blog, let alone read all the amazing posts that out there. I’d like to, but lets just see how it goes. Second – I would say I was pretty much mostly completely honest. I think there were a few questions where I could have answered a bit more personally, like the psychic one – but some things are hard to put out there, so I asked my backup questions. None of my answers were lies, just a couple probably could’ve been a bit more honest, but oh well.

I’m glad to see you here! I saw that you did your dare too. I will have to come read it. I believe everyone was honest and when I wrote that down I was really wondering about myself too. I hope you had a great weekend.

      • #15 by Cherlyn on May 14, 2012 - 10:10 AM

I did, I hope you did too!

Haha yeah, there really were a lot of females. Maybe I’ll have to hustle up some male bloggers to do this with me. Gosh, do I know even have any guy friends who blog? Aside from the people I’ve met through this challenge, I don’t think I have any other active male blogging friends. So sad, right? I’ve definitely been trying to keep up with blogs even after the challenge. I follow all of you lovely folk with my Bloglovin so I see everythinggg! I will make up my mind about the Feb. challenge once I see the participant list and questions :D Can’t commit yet, who knows where I’ll be once I graduate with my BA this January!!

    • #17 by Tom Baker on May 13, 2012 - 6:29 AM

Congratulations early! After you graduate you’ll forget all about us lowly bloggers and you’ll be climbing the corporate ladder. We will miss you but of you get the chance please stop by us regular folks. No, seriously I do hope you continue blogging and we all want you to do the 28 Days! I really don’t mind just being the only guy.

Please, after I graduate NYU I hopefully have 3 years of law school ahead of me :) I’ll be studying for a while yet, and lowly bloggers? Hardly! I will never quit blogging, I don’t think.

I hope not because I’m getting used to you being around.
