30 Days Of Blogging Honesty: Day 7 [Replacement Question]

I went to see a psychic, and was given the opportunity to ask three questions – I would ask…
Well folks, I do not believe in psychic abilities so I am going to switch this question out with the replacement question.

Your daughter tells you she is bringing home her boyfriend for dinner. When they arrive, she introduces you to a man who is not your same race. Sometime during dinner she announces that they have been married for the last six months. What bothers you more? The difference in race or being excluded from the wedding…

It should be more than obvious to anyone who has read this blog for even just a week that I am in no way discriminatory or prejudice. The only thing that would bother me is the deception I would feel perpetrated upon my wife and I. Knowing that an interracial marriage would not bother me, I would need to know why they felt the need to hide their relationship.

As the father of the bride I have to be smiling inside along with my bank account knowing that we dodged a huge bullet! My daughter has escaped the stress and headaches associated with planning a wedding and all of the would be assembled guests do not have to spend money on gifts.

Any money set aside for a wedding for my daughter can now be directed towards helping them with a house or saving for any future grandkid’s education.

In short, I ain’t mad at them!

Thank You JeLisa Sterling-Smith

JeLisa is Gung-ho to say the least, about her marriage to Galen. Not surprisingly, that is the way it is supposed to be. Her blog has been an inspiration to April and I and it meant a lot to have her agree to guest blog.

Thanks again JeLisa and again to you Chris for starting things off in January. If anyone else is interested in guest blogging for Morning Erection, there are still openings for September through December of 2010. Several people have come forth and would definitely be a guest but the name of my blog is prohibitive. Let me just say, I understand. It’s more important to stick to your convictions than to have a guest blogger. Leave a comment below if you are interested so I can contact you. Enjoy the rest of your day and hopefully enjoy the Indianapolis Colts win the Super Bowl tonight!

Guest blogging on March 6, 2010 will be Nathan Pralle from PhilosYphia. If you have never visited his site or read any of his posts, head on over for a visit and get a taste of what you will get here in March. Thanks.

Lewis and Clark were accompanied by York, a black slave, when they made their 1804 expedition from Missouri to Oregon. York’s presence aided in their interactions with the Native Americans they encountered. Sacagawea also accompanied Lewis and Clark on their thousands of miles journey.

Adultery And The Other Weather

Adultery is one of the worst mental and physical crimes you can commit against the one you claim to love. I admit it’s just my opinion but as a newlywed I find the act disgusting and tasteless.

Pregnancies often rise as the temperature sinks. Right now much of the globe is suffering from unimaginable cold weather and record snow amounts. I’m writing this post today, January 7th for publication tomorrow. In Minot, ND the temperature is  -17 degrees, here in Indianapolis it’s about 98.6 degrees as April and I lay in bed spooning. I digress, but I’m also in love.

Truthfully the temperature is 9 degrees here. In Orlando, FL the mercury reads a chilly 33 degrees. Across the pond in Great Britain,

Great Britain is in a total state of collapse, airports are closed, hospitals cancel operations, and transport via road and rail has been disturbed due to a thick layer of snow in the south of Wales, north-east and central England, as well as Scotland.

In their infrastructure collapse there is a collapse of another nature. Moral collapse as well. I have learned that the Illicit Encounters website has seen a marked increase in traffic since the record snowfalls. The website is designed to allow members to find partners for married couples to have affairs with. I was watching Wake Up With Al on the Weather Channel this morning and Al Roker told viewers that the site has gained over 2500 members in the last six days.

Not new individual visitors to the site. New sign ups looking to cheat on their spouses.

Sarah Hartley of Illicit Encounters UK said, “the adverse weather has obviously influenced many sign-ups. Usually, the West Country is a relatively quiet area for us – but over the last 3 days we have received over 900 new members from Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. It’s a sad state of affairs! No pun intended.

I am appalled but not surprised. Nothing surprises me today. The ethics and moral of good people are fast becoming extinct much like the fate of the polar bears…
