30 Days Of Blogging Honesty: Day 15

Given the choice between infinite time or infinite money, I would choose…

At first the choice seemed like something I needed to ponder but when I really realized what was at stake here, I knew infinite time was not the right choice for me. I thought about getting sick and having that sickness for an eternity. I thought about watching loved one after loved one, wife after wife, child after child buried. I would be like a vampire hiding from cameras and staying out of history’s way.

My life would be like any of those horrible shows on the CW, Lifetime or the SyFy channel. I would be living but not really alive. A cross between a zombie and a vampire. A zompire or a vambie. My life would be a series of Groundhog Days without the humor.

Infinite money on the other hand would help me to make use of the time I had been given. Normal time. A normal life. At any given moment I would have the ability to do whatever I wanted, go wherever I wanted, eat whatever I wanted, be with kings and queens, presidents and scholars, celebrities and most important family members. But it would also be difficult to tell who liked me for me and who simply liked my money.

My choice though, (and I hope the masses don’t get upset with me for going outside the box), would be to either have neither or choose to have infinite wisdom. With wisdom, I would be valued for me. I don’t mean knowledge. I mean wisdom. I’m not saying I could go out and find the cure for every disease or solve every murder case. I mean given the situation and circumstance I would be able to use all my faculties to always come up with the best response, the best answer, the best advice, the most meaningful words to say. Wisdom or none of the above for me. Isn’t the Milky Way beautiful?

Great Ways To Monetize Your Blog

WordPress.com doesn’t allow ads on your blog unless they are the ones who place them there, however there are many blogging platforms that do allow ads. Blogger.com is one of the big ones. If you are just starting out blogging and started blogging because you want to make money or if you just want to monetize your existing blog, I have four great companies that can help you achieve your goals.

They will give you code to place on your blog but it is you and you alone who has to provide great content for your readers otherwise no one will come to your blog and no one will click on your ads. If you believe you can provide great content in a particular niche or just have a blog about your personal life that will bring friends, family and worldwide visitors to your site, these companies can assist you.

Great Ways To Monetize Your Blog

I don’t own a blog that is monetized but I know that Google is one of the biggest in the market. Setting up an account with Google is painless and within hours you should have the code to add to your site and begin earning. Google has very strict rules about your conduct and they are quick to remove you as an Adsense account holder if you violate their Terms of Service.

If you are a Facebook member you have the option of setting up additional pages dedicated to your blog, business or website. Members can join your business Facebook page by Liking it. Right now with over 500 million members and an ad program that usurps your privacy by selling your information to third party businesses, they own 25% of Internet marketing. Adding your site’s Like information to your blog will bring new visitors and potential streams of revenue. On the right hand side of your personal Facebook page you can also purchase ad space for your blog and bring new visitors and new revenue to your blog.

Hundreds of new blog owners and web publishers join the LinkShare Network and use LinkShare generate revenue for their blog(s). When you become part of the LinkShare Network you have an opportunity to establish and sustain profitable relationships with some of the most recognized brands in the world including Netflix, Avon, Guthey-Ranker and 1-800 Flowers. With the right visitors and the best content you can muster, monetary opportunity awaits your bank account.

Flixya is an revenue sharing platform that allows you to share your blog posts, recipes, photos, and videos. Flixya allows you to add your Google Adsense account into your Flixya account. One of the great things about Flixya is that you do not have to add any special code to your own blog. Another great aspect of Flixya is you get to keep 100% of your Adsense earnings.

Researching for this post brought me to adBrite. I had not heard of them prior to writing this blog post. adBrite serves over 1 billion impressions a day on over 100,000 sites. From the information I was able to gather they also offer auctions on sites. I picked adBrite because of the potential I think they have in the market and because being different than every other blog, might be helpful in earning more money.

There are probably hundreds more that you can choose from. Remember how you feel when you reach a blog or website and it appears all their site is, is ads. Don’t do that to your blog visitors. It is a huge turn off. Have fun and make loads of money — then send some my way!

31 Days Of Blogging Honesty

Once again I have come up with an idea that encourages participation between you and other bloggers. This is not a meme in the strict sense of the meaning but I would love for people to try to get more and more people involved and taking part in this. I would say it’s more of a fellowship. I visited a blog for First Class Blogger Award and she was posting on 30 days of honesty. I didn’t particularly like all those questions so once again I came up with my own.

So now you know where I got the idea for this. If you would like to take part just leave a comment below. Because it involves complete and total honesty there may be many who choose to refrain. If you decide to take part in this I would advise you to answer at least two questions a week. Taking part in 31 Days of Blogging Honesty means an entire month of posting will be finished and you can begin working on the next month’s posts early.

There are rules again. You must answer 31 questions, however you can choose one of the questions, if you want and decline to answer it. Just one! If you decide to not answer a question you must answer the alternative question in its place. You must make mention on that day that you are skipping and replacing the scheduled question with your alternative.

If your blog, like mine, has scheduled series on a particular day, please skip the 31 Days of Blogging Honesty in order to keep with your blog’s regular schedule. On the first Saturday of every month I have a guest blogger which means I will continue with my guest post and post the next answer after it. For me, that means I won’t be finished my 31 days until June 3rd, if I calculated correctly. The only other rule is that you must use the above 31 Days Of Blogging Honesty graphic each day you post.

The month for posting the answers to the questions is May. That means you have close to four full months to prepare the thirty one posts. If you decide to take part, why not answer your first question today to get started!

Objective: To answer a question each day, in complete honesty.
