30 Days Of Blogging Honesty: Day 17

There are many mysteries in the universe. If there were one truth I could learn, it would be…

That I really cannot think of anything. I believe in God which means I believe He created everything. I also believe God is sovereign and doesn’t need to answer to anyone for any of his decisions, actions or inaction. Sure, there are a ton of questions that I wouldn’t mind asking Him. Okay, it took over a month to come up with an answer to this question and all I needed to do was start writing because something just came to mind…

I would ask God what his inspiration was for creating the human being, male and female, in the design He did. Not just outwardly but the amazing inner workings of each bodily function and organ. I would also want to know why the microscopic world is as infinitely and progressively small as the universe is infinitely large. That is about it but what amazes me the most is with the enormity and vastness of space; the Creator is still bigger than His creation. That is mind blowing.

31 Days Of Blogging Honesty: Day 20

The book that I read that has altered my perception of life is…

I read but I don’t read a lot. When I was younger I would say it was L. Frank Baum’s, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I learned a lot about the symbolism. For instance I learned that Oz was the abbreviation for ounces and the yellow brick road symbolized gold and the entire book was a commentary on greed.

Today I would say it is the Bible. I am getting a clearer understanding of what the Bible is saying as opposed to my misconceptions of something I talked about but never really knew what it was I was talking about. Lots of people, like myself “know” about Christianity but have never even bothered to research and find out for themselves. I am learning a lot from reading and learned lots when I was out in California this past December. It’s very interesting. I particularly like the book of John.
