A blogger friend I’ve known for over five years told me she has been blogging anonymously all this time and most of what I know about her is her fantasy. My reaction to the news is…
Shock. Disappointment! I suppose it is none of my business that she wanted to blog anonymously but why not mention that from the get go? I might even feel betrayed. Who is this person? It’s a strange scenario and I guess I really wouldn’t know how I might respond to her unless it happened. Millions of people blog anonymously and I have a few people I know who do it and let it be known and one or two who nonchalantly let me know not to call them (in emails) the name on their blogs. Then they were nice enough to tell me their real name.
What I don’t understand is people who blog anonymously yet have real photos on their blog. How is that anonymous? Regardless, I would probably have trust issues with the lady blogger who for five years I thought was the person she presented herself to be. How much of what I know is fake and how much is real. Would I stop being friends? I cannot answer that yet I have a sneaky suspicion that it was her faith in the friendship that would lead her to the confessional.

In the meantime, please stop by her blog, Over A Cup Of Coffee. If there is a pot on, I’m sure she would be willing to share!
Thank you so much for the comments and the encouragement, especially with some of my off the wall responses which in the words of the younger generation was TMI. Because you spent lots of time this past month responding to our honesty and answering many of the questions in your replies, I thought maybe you would like a chance to participate. Just leave your answer to the question in the comments. Cherlyn and Sprinkles, if you would like to add this to your site, be my guest.
