Poetic License, March 2012

Poetic License is the part of Morning Erection that allows me to showcase some of the great poets that I find in my travels throughout the Internet. I have found that by posting works by other bloggers often brings more traffic to their site as well as mine and that is a good thing.

Poetic License is scheduled for the first Monday in every month. I ask if you find a poem that touches you in some way either leave a comment for the author or visit their blog and let them know. Thank you for reading.

Mist…
by Priyaasha

Her hair and clothes are out of place
And tear droplets all over her face.

Surrounded by a mist of agony and pain
The hurt was more than she could sustain.

Face smeared completely with the khol of her eyes
Which came down with tears,
owing to the lies.

The broken photo-frame lay on the floor
And room filled with darkness galore.

She stood near the window sill,
gazing long and hard!
Awaiting his arrival,
through the deserted backyard.

Saw a glimpse of his smile.
For an instant she all but complete,
as the endearing aspect left her immobile.

He was her only desire,
she stretched her arms far and wide.
But emptiness was all she could acquire.

All she wanted was to be treasured again.
Her heart ached, it pleaded,
but there was nothing she could attain!

The deafening silence and abandonment were her only peers,
Which never left her side all these year.

That misty frame of her beloved’s soon dispersed in the air.
Here enters the darkness.
And she was left reiterating in the depths of despair!!!

The Day
by Shira

The day we met.

The day we blinked to one another.

The day we said hi.

The day we talked.

The day we smiled.

The day we laughed.

The day we misunderstood.

The day we quarreled.

The day we fought.

The day we cried.

The day we fell with one another.

The day we promised.

I can still clearly remember those days.

I can still clearly remember the words.

I can still clearly remember my love for you.

First Kiss
by HajPaj

The moonlight streamed down
You turned my whole life around
The wind whistled through the trees
You filled me with giddy glee
The smell of barbeque floated in the air
You hypnotized me with that stare
The whole world stopped, not a pip
You leaned in to kiss me on the lips.
The day I had my very first kiss.

The Center
by Aslan Kanshaw

The center of everything
Sometimes predictable
Like a child
Sometimes unexplainable
Like a man gone wild
Its so consuming..
And greedy..
Has many faces
Fragile and needy
Thrives on emotions
The negative
The positive
It asks even for more
And I always give
I just
Don’t want my heart!

Cover of Night
by JadedHeart

Walk with me through darkened streets
Off the path of life’s deceits
We’ll walk in shadows out of sight
With no betrayal by the light
We must keep hidden our heart and soul
From all the hate that would take its toll
It lingers in alleys that we pass
And stares so hard through the window’s glass
Seeking a glimpse of where we might be
Silhouette could betray easily
So be sure to stay where shadows fall
And listen not to it’s tempting call

Strength
by rCaneWolf

The only super power I want is Strength.

I know what it’s like to run away at fast speeds.
I know what it’s like to teleport to a distant land.
I myself left the ground and resided in the skies in my flights.
I know what it’s like to be invisible.
I know what it’s like to shoot lasers from my eyes and burn the very being, the soul of another.
I know what it’s like to materialize things.
I know what being invincible feels like and idk about living forever but I know how it feels to die to flip it on its backside.
I’ve read minds and predicted things to no personal benefits.

What’s more to ask for?

The strength to stay and if I shall leave to just walk away.
The strength to walk and chase the distant location without a teleported glimpse.
The strength to stand ground and feet flat with the world on my mind.
The strength to be seen at various scenes and take the main role.
The strength to open up my windows for you to see the real me.
The strength to resist the allure of items.
The strength to leave the Achilles heel bare.
The strength to break expectations into realizations and truly understand than a hunch from a man.
The only super power I want is strength.

Too Young
by Alex

we learned the word “hate”
when we were still too young
to know what hate was.

but we’ve been loving
since the moment
we could breathe on our own.

these clocks that
only move forward
tell us nothing, then.

we will always be
too young to hate
and just old enough to love.

Letting Go
by Gabriela Vargas

It’s not that I don’t miss you
It’s not that I don’t care
But holding on just seems so much harder
It’s easier for you to not be aware

If I told you that I love you
And life without you sucks
You’d want me back
You’d want me with you
You’d want the same old hugs

Hugs and kisses, and those old fights
Everything would be the same
We’d go back to getting irritated
Irritated at the same old things

I don’t like arguing with you
I don’t like getting mad
I love it when it’s just you and me
It’s all I’ve ever had

It’s all I’ve ever had
You’ve all I’ve ever had
And you’re all I’ll ever need
Letting go is so much harder
Letting go is the only way

Poetic License – January 2012

Poetic License is that part of the anatomy of Morning Erection that allows me to showcase some of the great poets that I find in my travels throughout the Internet. I have found that by posting works by other bloggers often brings more traffic to their site as well as mine and that is a good thing.

The schedule for Poetic License is the first Monday of each month. If you find a poem that touches you in some way either leave a comment for the author or visit their blog and let them know. I wrote a poem last year, December 17th and although it is not included in Poetic License, I have decided to post it. You will be able to see it January 9th. It’s titled, Dance With Me.

As with last year February is the only Poetic License with a theme. The theme is love and you will find poems that are sensual, sexy and erotic. A few of the poems in February are for the 18 and above crowd only.

Going South
by Trish Shishkura

We take so much longer to come home
in the cavern of distant voices,
magnified as they echo and bounce
from one wall to another.

Each drop that comes from the folds
of the clouds
— drips from the night sky
and onto the asphalt below.

We lay naked,
for everyone to see.
Yet they close their eyes.
We whisper, bite our lips.

Quiet.

Make sure nothing is heard
but heavy breathing
— and it takes us too long to come

home, where only you and I can
let whispers hum and grow
loud enough to let our voices
be heard.

Avid For Desire
by Craig Watson

You notice me
Looking your way.
To my surprise.
You decided to speak.
You took my hand.
Softly whispered in my ear…
Follow me this way.
Where…
Is not a question.
Attraction is already there.
A brief encounter.
To obtain facts on one another.
Nothing really needed to be said.
Again…
Attraction is already there.
Body language was already read.
And truth be told…
I’m loving what it’s saying to me.
A Night of ecstasy.
Only to be left a memory!
A memory vivid in my mind.
You would think.
I’ve seen her recently.
The mental…
So physical.
The attraction…
So strong.
She’s ingrained in my mind.
I want to feel those lips again.
Simply reliving the experience.
I can feel the warmth of her body.
As she pulls me close.
Straight seduction.
It’s a shame…
She’s nowhere to be found.

A Better Life
by Allison Grayhurst

In the beginning

I rode a burning steed,

crossed a violent river

and destroyed my home.

But now my footsteps are slower,

I never climb the rocks or chase

the landed hawk. I collect shells

for my garden and sing to the great

ocean’s waves. I take my children

along the shore and show them how to dance.

I tell them my tales of long ago, though

they offer no interest or praise.

But they love me like a petal does its stem,

each reaching to me to know the effort of

my arms. We eat fruit near the underbrush

then bury each seed, tenderly,

in the hot white sands.

Marauded Petals
by Jennay Marie

Passed efflorescence cautioned me about my seedpod wish
But ’tis the time for me to shine and begin my luxuriated bliss
I tunnel out my little sprout to peak out into my wander
And to my surprise
The sun is all mine
And she freely feeds my hunger
With my stretched out sprightly leaves radiating
Fuchsia on amethyst petals I conceived
I’m miraculous to my thieves
Who pluck me straight
With no restraint
And now I adorn their masterful plunder

Secrets
by Marion Driessen

Life, you amaze me
ejecting originals
of the unknown
into my perception
of non-virtual reality

I must catch these threads
and weave them
within my own tapestry
Spread or cut them
as I see fit

Perspectives change
the patterns of truth
I share or not
to keep others
from harm

Life is living
folding choices
into balance
Trust me enough
to let go

Happiness To Remember
by Marissa Hill

Sitting there amongst friends that night.
With your left hand you held mine so gently,
With your right you grazed the skin of my back.

Feeling so alive with you in that moment,
Blood pumping fast through my veins,
With the warmth of your body so close.

The spirit of the room was so high and free.
Everything surrounding was abuzz with noise,
But my attention was focused on you.

Your beauty lit up the skies so bright,
My mind and body were put at ease,
So I wandered away from the light and sounds.

A feeling arrived that I hadn’t felt before.
My blood slowed and my heart beat calmed,
And I lifted my head, found your eyes, and smiled.

On the left I was given protection,
On the right it was pure desire,
In between it all was a smile of perfection, and happiness to remember.

PMS
by Mica

I can hear you crawling

Creeping under my bed

You start out as a voice

That replays in my head

Anticipating you

That’s what scares me the most

“I won’t do it again”

Some words from my false oath

I can hear death whisper

As my temptation rises

The blade looks so comforting

In the midst of noises

“Take me away” I say

Of course, no one answers

And out of insanity,

I let out obnoxious laughter

I clench my fists tightly

Subconsciously breathing

Not knowing, nor caring

Where I am heading

“This is only a phase”

That’s what everybody says

I only allow the truth to comfort me

But not today

At this point, I know nothing

At this point, I wish you were with me

From this point, I feel nothing

From this point, you are with me

And momentarily,

everything is okay.

During Nocturnal Canine Ablutions
by Words Asunder

the cool of dark
is welcome
and calm
I gaze upward
into eternity
my awe intense
and oblivion
stares back
at me in all my
insignificance

as scents
and sounds
scintillate
my senses
I stand in
statuesque
solitude
miniscule
under the
milky way

a light blinks
steadily and
glides silently
across the
ebon sky
unaware
of my gaze

a moth
flutters by
franticly
foraging for
light
I feel
its fleeting
flight
and accept
my relative
ephemeralness

in the
distance
a constant
rumble of
traffic in
droning
motion
provides
a bass line
backing
to the
moans of
lovers
coming
carried
through
an open
window

and nearer
muted voices
moan of
trivialities
as the
stench of
cigarette
smoke
assaults my
nostrils

at last
the dog
completes
her ablutions
and I retreat
indoors to
become
once more
significant

Poetic License – December 2010

Poetic License is that part of Morning Erection that allows me to showcase some of the great poets that I found in my travels throughout the Internet. I have found that by posting works by other bloggers often brings more traffic to their site and that is a good thing. If you missed the first Poetic License, please check it out.

Each month I will share seven poems with you from other bloggers, mostly from the WordPress community and one from myself. If you like poetry, I hope you come back each month for more! Beginning in January Poetic License will be featured on the first Monday of each month.

Be advised that I am looking for sensual, sexy and erotic poems for February since it is the month of love. If you write or are aware of someone who writes such poetry, please let me know whom.

A New Me
by Ms. Peaches

Revelations of realizations
Make me see the realities
Of what it means to become
The greatest me that I can be
Blessing unknown obedience
To the one up above bring me
Full circle to a place I once
Previously started but now
Again I head back in that direction
Only I move forward without
Haste or feelings of judgment
From ones who know nothing
Of what it is that makes me me!

If You Were You
by Shannon Schaefer

If you were a river
I’d be your canyon
Holding you close
But letting you run free

If you were a wave
I’d be the moon
Pulling you in
When you need to crash

If you were you
And if I was me
I’d love you forever
Just wait and see

If you were a carrot
I’d be your dirt
Keeping you safe
And helping you grow

If you were a pencil
I’d be your paper
Giving you a space
To tell your story

If you were you
And if I was me
I’d love you forever
Just wait and see

Times when you’re dark
I’ll be your light
Brightening up
The whole night sky

Times when you’re unsure
I’ll be your certainty
Adding exclamations
To your question marks

If you were you
And if I was me
I’d love you forever
Just wait and see

Raindrop Memories
by Desiree

Our clothes were soaking wet
From running through the rain

Still he kept smiling
And kept on dancing
Raindrop memories to never forget

When the rain passed, so did he
But the footsteps he left
Will always remain

But even though it looks
As rain has faded
It’s never ever really gone

And so
I’ll keep running outside forever
Waiting for the raindrops
To wet his hair
To drench mine as well
And kiss my cheeks
Like I wanted to kiss his too

Within Heaven’s Arms
by Charles Wm. Martin and Toni L. A. Cross

this child that you see
cannot cry again
nor wait for promises
to be kept
alone in the dark
shivering for fear
a blue map of bruises
pale tender skin
holding an old doll
as ragged as her dreams
praying to a god
known only from a tv show
god, please make me good
so my momma won’t
be mad no more
sorry i’m so bad
but as she prayed
an angels voice whispered
my dear child you did
nothing wrong at all
she snuffled her tiny nose
and blinked blue watery eyes
her shivers skittered away
like mice into the corners
she could not believe her eyes
for in front of her kneeling near
was the glowing  form of an angel
whose voice was soft and clear
be it a dream
or substance of light
her life was changed
in a moment that night
for the angel caressing with wings of white
said softly rest now my child
have no fright for tomorrow i shall
show you such wondrous sights
the way things should be
all wrong made right
beauty pulled out of pain
tormented souls made whole and sane

One Thousand Hearts
by Adrienne

I want to make you smile even when your frown seems permanently set in place
I’ll pour all my love into you until all the pain in your heart is erased
Without truly knowing or questioning why
I find all the answers right there in your eyes
I could try, but I could never find an understanding more clear
Then the understanding between our souls that draw us here

Even in September through all the fall, winter, and spring
Your love makes it feel like summer
through all the Joy and warmth you bring
To feel your lips as sweet as honey suckle against mine
It stops every thing around me, literally every second in time

You illuminate my world brighter then the sun could ever be
More precious  then any jewel, star, or stone to me
I wish I could love you with the love of a thousand hearts
I’d fill them all with you every part
But I hope the one heart I have will do
Because no one will ever love you the way that I do

After You
by Prinsesa Musang

The rain fell earnestly as I go back to
the door that opened the room I had left
for so long, for fear and uncertainty.
I cannot see you.
There is nothing here but empty spaces,
and I let out a small sigh,
both of frustration and satisfaction. You had
always been my despair and my delight.

The silence, and coldness, that I see here,
coming back now, wreathed around
me like a long lost friend, as I see myself
reflected in the mirror we put up ourselves,
tiny, and broken as the last fragments of the mirror
fall into a crash… and I see the real me
pretending to be strong, pretending
what happened was not real.

My Invisible Scars
by Callmeams

You made me promise not to tell
All the time you put me through hell
Made me feel like it was my fault
Made me ashamed that I didn’t make it halt
What about your promises broken
Some aloud and some unspoken
To love and protect me and keep me from harm
It seems everyone was blinded by your charm
But I know the truth behind your lies
I see the sinister in your eyes
You I love and you I hate
To others I can no longer relate
Torn asunder, my soul battered
My scars invisible, like I never mattered

Vastness Of Space And Time
by Tom Baker

Cold
Devoid of form
Dark and foreboding
It’s massiveness is beyond infinity

Beautiful
Spherical brilliance the way light travels
Celestial wonderment
Quantum leaps and gravitational bounds

Heavens
Stars a billion here and a billion there
A billion galaxies; nebulae, stars, planets
Rocks will declare the glory even if you won’t.
